HUD Homes are single family homes or other type of residences that are backed by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and are now in foreclosure.

Once a Lehigh Valley Home, backed by the FHA goes into foreclosure, it is deeded back to HUD by the lending mortgage company. The property is then listed for sale on the HUD website.

  • HUD Homes are sold as-is.
     
  • A buyer can attempt to purchase a HUD Home by placing a Bid on the property (bidding ends daily at midnight).
     
  • If multiple buyers enter bids on the same property you don’t get a 2nd chance. HUD will accept the best bid or none of the bids.
     
  • If your bid is accepted, you will have 48 hours to submit the agreement of sale or your bid will be canceled.
     
  • Only registered real estate brokers can submit bids on HUD homes. Eric Rothenberger, with Bellman & Radcliff Real Estate is registered to place bids on HUD properties.
     
  • HUD Home are located throughout the Lehigh Valley in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and the surrounding municipalities.
